Despite increasingly demanding conditions of business and additional charges for the banking sector, the consolidated net profit of the PKO Bank Polski Group was PLN 639 million in Q1 2016; it was stable year on year and increased by 43.7 percent quarter on quarter. The Bank has continued sustainable business growth, strengthened its capital position and reduced the cost of risk: the total capital ratio increased to 15.4 percent, the Tier 1 capital ratio to 14.1 percent, and the cost of risk decreased to 72 bps. PKO Bank Polski actively supports the implementation of the government programme Family 500 Plus and enables clients to file applications via the transactional banking system as part of its engagement in building the digital economy.
