For the 11th time, PKO Bank Polski organised the CEE Capital Markets investment conference. The purpose of the initiative is to support the promotion of domestic capital market among foreign institutional investors. On 14 and 15 March in London, representatives of Polish companies listed at the Warsaw Stock Exchange and firms from Central and Eastern Europe will meet with foreign institutional investors.
Polish market has a lot to offer to foreign investors. We are an attractive place to invest; we have a strongly diversified economy which is, at the same time, one of the least indebted economies in Europe. Poland is among several countries where the total public debt and the private sector debt as compared to the GDP was reduced during the pandemic; before the pandemic, its level was one of the lowest in the European Union. This means that we are relatively little susceptible to the interest rate shock. We also have valuable human capital. Poles are capable of meeting the highest standards of global corporations and simultaneously quickly adapt to a dynamic environment,
says Paweł Gruza, Vice-President of the Management Board of PKO Bank Polski managing the work of the Management Board.
We promote the domestic capital market among foreign investors and support its growth, which contributes to building a competitive economy. CEE Capital Markets is an opportunity for companies to present their potential and a chance for the investors to get to know the attractiveness of many industries from our region, but also the prospects of the entire economy. Thanks to such conferences as CEE Capital Markets, large Polish companies may reach the foreign investors with their offer more easily,
says Grzegorz Zawada, director of the Brokerage Office of PKO Bank Polski.
